Gorenje Group's Accounting Report 2014 voted the best for the third time

Gorenje Group's Accounting Report 2014 voted the best for the third time

In the Best Annual Report competition organized for Slovenian entrants by "Poslovna akademija Finance" (Finance daily paper Business Academy), Gorenje remains unbeaten in the Best Financial Report category for the third consecutive year, based on the expert jury decision.

The Best Annual Report competition, organized by "Poslovna akademija Finance" and the Finance daily paper, took place for the 16th year in a row. The five-member expert jury awarded Gorenje's financial report the highest score among Slovenian companies for the third consecutive year. This is Gorenje's sixth award overall in this competition.

As commented by the Gorenje, d.d., President and CEO Mr Franjo Bobinac, the broad team of employees involved each year in the development of the Annual Report contents is very proud of their winning streak: "The top spot is a result of extensive knowledge, continuous education, and striving for the most transparent presentation of operations and performance possible. Over 95 percent of our revenue is generated abroad and such international aspect of operations introduces specific challenges in development of financial statements as well. Providing comparability of information in business reports year in, year out is anything but a simple task."

Iztok Pustatičnik, executive director of controlling and accounting, received the award for the best financial report at the award ceremony. In his words, the top place for the third year in a row is evidence of continuity of quality work, but also commits them to such work in the future. "I thank the team of employees whose knowledge, expertise, and experience have contributed to such success. In an often unstable international environment, financial information has to be presented in the most transparent way possible. This streak of awards stands witness to our success in such efforts."
