Gorenje receives award for exemplary corporate governance of a multinational corporation
On Friday, September 21, Gorenje received at the international investor conference Investo Expo in Ljubljana the award for exemplary corporate governance of a multinational company. The conference that included an investor fair and a conference on financial service user training was organized by the Pan-Slovenian Shareholders Association in cooperation with the World Federation of Investors, European shareholders associations Euroshareholders, and the European Federation of Financial Services Users.
The award for exemplary corporate governance of a multinational company was presented to Gorenje by the chairman of the World Federation of Investors Mr. Roger Ganser.
Mr. Jure Marjanovič, corporate secretary at Gorenje, commented upon receiving the award: »At Gorenje, we are always committed to upgrading our corporate governance and to reaching the highest standards. In the last two years, we have made new progress in corporate governance. Our Supervisory Board includes international experts with vast international experience and we are looking to implement the best practices of corporate governance at our company as well.«
