Gorenje voted the supplier of the year for the Euronics retail network in Czech Republic

Euronics, an international retail chain marketing electric and electronic appliances and equipment, awarded Gorenje as the best supplier in the home appliance category for 2011 in the Czech market.

Euronics, present in 29 European countries, is Europe's second largest retailer of electric and electronic equipment. Gorenje Group is working with this network in several counters; in Czech Republic where it is a key home appliance supplier for Euronics stores, the cooperation dates back 10 years. 

Each year, Euronics selects the supplier of the year in the categories of major appliances, small appliances, photo and video cameras, and consumer electronics. Rating is based on votes by the members of the Euronics network in Czech Republic which includes 165 stores. Gorenje Group's Mora brand was voted the supplier of the year 2011 in the category of major appliances.

Suad Hadzić, director of Gorenje's sales unit in Prague, commented upon the award: "We view the award as recognition of the years of efforts by the entire sales team to reposition the Mora brand and shift it upmarket. Today, Mora is recognized not only as a traditional Czech brand, but also as a modern supplier of the entire assortment of kitchen appliances. Becoming the best supplier was not easy, but we feel our work has paid off."
