Gorenje is entering Angolan market

Gorenje is entering Angolan market in cooperation with a local partner in this year. With this intention Gorenje exhibited the complete range of household products at the international fair FILDA in Luanda which took place from 20th to 25th July 2010.

Former Portugal colony Angola, lying in southwest Africa, has nearly 16 million residents; around 6 million living in capital Luanda. Angola is rich with natural sources - most important are oil and diamantes. Although the state is still struggling against poverty, additionally deepened by the 27-years long civil war, the market is incredibly interesting. Future experts predict Angola to be one of the fastest growing economies in the world. In the last years Angola is intensively investing into renewing the infrastructure, developing farming and tourism, all made possible by wide oil sources. In this African country oil represents 85 percent of GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
