Culinary sensation with Jamie Oliver

A rather unusual huge tent set up at the foot of the "Gut Stubb" restaurant tower, a part of the Frankfurt "Festhalle" exhibition and fair arena, hosted 500 guests of the first JAMIE OLIVER DINNER SHOW held on November 20th in Germany; the show was co-sponsored by Gorenje.

The culinary sensation with Jamie surprised with a different approach; spiced with a twist of British humour and supported by music, it may even appear as a parody compared to numerous other TV cooking shows.

In terms of cuisine, the show brings many novelties and surprises as well; above all, it introduces some innovative approaches to food preparation. A four-course menu was compiled by Jamie Oliver especially for this occasion, while his cooking assistants prepared the dishes.

The entire show was conceived as a cooking competition where all candidates, expectedly, to their best to win. One of the candidates, however, has a passionate dream throughout the evening and thus the action on the stage is being bounced between two intriguing questions: "What are the ingredients for a noodle soup?" and "What are the ingredients for love?"

As a partner to the Jamie Oliver Dinner Show, Gorenje contributed four sets of excellent Gorenje Premium Touch cooking appliances consisting of an oven and a glass ceramic hi-light cooking hob; these appliances will also be used when the show runs in Hamburg next year.

"Gorenje decided to take part in the project in order to present its brand to the broader public that appreciates the world of flavours and aromas and to motivate such audience to attempt preparation of culinary masterpieces at home. Gorenje Premium Touch cooking appliances excel with both superior design and cutting-edge technology offering numerous innovative and user-friendly functions; hence, they can facilitate cooking and aid the cooking enthusiasts in even the most intricate cooking adventures", commented Mr. Thomas Wittling, head of sales and marketing at Gorenje Germany.

The author of the entire story is Michael Kunze, arguably the most notable German author of musicals. The event was produced by Matthias Hoffmann who made his name with the "AFRICA! AFRICA" show and the Eckart Witzigmann Palazzo cooking show.

Excellent voices, superb orchestra, and a pinch of top-class acrobatics contributed an additional dose of adrenalin and temperament to the show that, even on its own could not have be said to have lacked either.
