Black Friday spread beyond USA borders and in 2017, buying habits changed and sales figures reached new levels of dizziness. Across the globe Black Friday is not only Friday – it’s all weekend through to Cyber Monday (day dedicated to online shopping). Predictions says – shopping will expand to occupy an entire month – from Black Friday to Black November.

  • Stand out: it's in human desire to justify the purchase and this is a good opportunity to entertain the gift season impulses.
  • eMarketer reports that the holiday season starts in October. Take advantage of that and get ahead of the curve.
  • Use social media. Hashtags such as #blackfriday on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram can increase visibility by up to 200%.
  • Use countdowns and calls to action to encourage quick decisions.
  • Think creatively (also about email subject lines).
  • Go beyond Black Friday: Black Friday is only a piece of a holiday season, go beyond.
  • Communicate and communicate often.
