With the future very much in mind, particular attention has been paid to the edification of younger members of staff over recent years. Particular attention is focussed on advanced training programmes which foster excellence in the workplace as well as the personal growth of the individual.

In addition to work and training, Gorenje also places major significance on those activities which foster creativity and the spirit of innovation in both the working as well as broader social environments. Activities and productions in the field of culture are therefore highly appreciated within the concern, while Gorenje’s own Cultural Association is most active. 

Company employees and their families are also encouraged to participate in a variety of activities organised by the Gorenje Recreation Association which offers participation in various courses as well as a range of other benefits.

Gorenje also actively participates in numerous programmes devised in conjunction with a wide variety of organizations based in the district in which it operates. The firm actively fosters relationships and co-operation with the Velenje Municipality as well as others in the Celje and Savinja Valley region. Further to this, Gorenje annually sponsors and makes donations to a variety of nationally important projects in the fields of culture, sport, science and health.

Health and safety at work

Through the implementation of new safety concepts, Gorenje is evermore successful in the reduction - and thus ultimately the elimination  - of working environment related risks. Sick leave due to work-related injury and illness is on the decline. In addition to ongoing instruction and training in relation to health and safety at work, fire protection and environmental management, Gorenje employees are also given the option of joining preventive medical and health care programmes.
