At the 37th meeting, held on 16 April 2010, the Supervisory Board of Gorenje, d.d., adopted audited Annual Report of Gorenje, d.d., and the Consolidated Annual Report of the Gorenje Group for the year 2009, and confirmed the proposal for the application of the balance-sheet profit for the year 2009. The Supervisory Board adopted the Report on the revision of Annual Report, which will be submitted to the Annual General Meeting.

Gorenje and the French designer Ora-Ïto have taken their cooperation a step further. At this year's Milan Design Week, the new collection Gorenje Ora-Ïto Carbon saw its premiere. Currently still a prototype, this collection is a successor to the two hit collections Gorenje Ora-Ïto in black and white colour, created by this team in the past few years.

On Tuesday, April 13th 2010, Petra Majdič visited the Gorenje plant. First, she greeted the shop floor workers; then, she proceeded to the company cafeteria to attend a meeting the junior team of the Velenje ski jumping club, and the organizers of the Gorenje Sports Society who welcomed her in a ceremonial formation. Gorenje President and CEO surprised Petra with a present – a laundry drier.

Gorenje Velenje, Slovenian handball champions, reached the last sixteen of the 2010 EHF Champions League, where they first lost by eight goals in the first leg against the defending champions Ciudad Real. Defeat by five goals in the second leg meant the end of their road to European Champions League Title.

Gorenje teamed up with a Taiwanese partner, the company Tze Shin, to introduce the Gorenje brand to this Asian market. The launch took place in Taipei on April 1st 2010. The two-day gala event was attended by many distributors and media representatives, including the French designer Ora-Ïto.

At the end of March, the construction of a 200 kW solar power plant was completed at Gorenje. The plant, already connected to Gorenje’s power grid, is divided into four units with 50 kW of output power each. The units are located in Velenje and Šoštanj.
