Gorenje’s first showroom in Brazil
Gorenje opened their first showroom in Brazil. It is located in the metropolis of Sao Paulo, in the popular Avenida Brasil. The showroom offers a choice of Gorenje appliances of the highest price range, including the prestigious designer lines by world-famous designers such as Karim Rashid, who was the guest of honour at the opening, Paolo Pininfarina, Ora-Ïto, and elegant Swarovski fridge-freezers. With this range, Gorenje is addressing the consumers who are betting on exclusive design and high quality of the products they buy.
Building the recognition of the brand in Brazil
Gorenje's initial activities for certifying the products for entry to the Brazilian market date back to 2009. Last year, cooperation started with specialized dealers and furniture studios on marketing of the exclusive designer lines. The opening of the first showroom is a step forward in the consolidation of the recognition of Gorenje as a relatively new brand in this market. Tatjana Močenik, managing director of Gorenje's subsidiary in Brazil: "In 2013, we are looking to boost and expand our presence at the key specialized dealers and furniture studios in Sao Paulo and in all major cities and states of Brazil." Brazil is currently the only South American market in which Gorenje is present.
Designer Karim Rashid the guest of honour at the opening
Opening of the showroom spanning 400 square metres was attended by approximately 400 visitors. Among them were mostly architects, designers, reporters, and key customers. The guest of honour at the opening was the designer Karim Rashid who is highly esteemed and widely known in Brazil. Also attending the opening as a special guest was Mrs. Milena Smit, ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Brazil.
