Gorenje hosts a reception ceremony for the champions

After the final match of the national championships when the Gorenje Velenje team handball club won the National Championship 2011/12 title and ended the season without a single defeat, Gorenje handball players were greeted at a reception ceremony which extended into a charity working tour of the plant.

The handball players were honourably greeted by the Gorenje management, extending congratulations and best wishes for their triumph. Franjo Bobinac, President and CEO, addressed them: "Both on the handball court and in our business, resourcefulness, quickness, and efficiency are the keys to success." After a tour of the Gorenje showroom, they also visited the shop floor of the Velenje manufacturing plant. The players saw where and how Gorenje branded washing machines, fridge freezers, and cooking appliances are made. They were even involved in the work process and helped create one appliance at each plant. The resulting series of appliances "Made by Champions" will be donated for charity. The players were also presented three handballs signed by Gorenje workers. The final part of the charity working tour took part at the Gorenje cafeteria where the players joined the employees during their lunch break.
