Nordic World Ski Championships starts in Oslo today

FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 starts in Oslo today and will take place until 6 March 2011. First challenge for Slovenian female ski runers will be on Thursday, 24 February 2011, and first challenge for male ski jumpers on Saturday, 26 February 2011.

At the last world cup individual female sprint free ski run challenge which took place on 19 and 20 February 2011 in Drammen, Norway, the best position for Slovenian female ski run team achieved Vesna Fabjan with ninth place. Katja Višnar and Petra Majdič have fallen out in Drammen already in the quarterfinals. Next challenge in individual female sprint free technique for Slovenian ski runers will be on Thursday, 24 February 2011 in Oslo at the Nordic World Ski Championships. 

Slovenian ski jumpers have achieved at the last world cup ski jumping match in Vikersund in Norway, which took place on 13 February 2011 19th place with Robert Kranjec and 24th place with Jurij Tepeš. For now for Slovenian male ski jumpers world cup scale shows 23rd place for Robert Kranjec, 25th place for Peter Prevc, 38th place for Jurij Tepeš, 45th place for Jernej Damjan, 57th place for Mitja Mežnar, 62th place for Tomaž Naglič and 77th place for Primož Pikl. On Saturday, 26 February 2011, male ski jumpers will compete in the normal hill technique in Holmenkollen, Oslo. Next male ski jumping competitions at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo will take place on Thursday, 3 March 2011 and Saturday, 5 March 2011.
