Gorenje signs preliminary agreement on investment in Zaječar
Gorenje President and CEO Mr. Franjo Bobinac, vice president of the Serbian government and Minster of Economy and regional development of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Mlađan Dinkić, and mayor of the City of Zaječar Mr. Boško Ničić signed today in Zaječar a preliminary agreement on Gorenje's investment in this city.
At the existing manufacturing complex, Gorenje is planning to launch an assembly line for washing machines and dryers bound for sales in Serbia and some other Eastern European markets, and a manufacturing plant for plastic bathroom washbasins. Planned operations will be set up within 12 months from signing of all binding contracts and agreements, to provide employment for 300 persons within three years.
As a part of their active promotion of job creation, the Republic of Serbia will support the project by providing a grant in the amount of EUR 10 thousand per employee.
