Gorenje wins the best annual report award

Gorenje wins the best annual report award

Gorenje won the Best 2009 Annual Report Award among enterprises in the category of communication, at a contest held for 11th consecutive year by the Finance Daily Paper and its Business Academy.

For the 2009 Annual Report, Gorenje opted for an interactive web document as an alternative to the traditional hardcopy format. The electronic report includes interactive elements that allow the investors and analysts to customize the document to suit the requirements of their analyses. Furthermore, concise and straightforward wording supported by meaningful graphics brings the Report closer to the lay public. Gorenje's interactive web version of the Annual Report improves access, convenience, and transparency of the data presented and allows the users to find the information faster.

The key message of the Annual Report is delivered through a central story told in the introductory part. It announces to the shareholders, financial and business community, and other readers that the three major goals were accomplished: market shares were retained, positive cash flow was generated, and productive jobs were kept; and that investments into products, innovation, brand and employees will fuel further growth, as laid out in the Strategic Plan.
