Gorenje UK at the CIH Trade Show 2010

On September 1st 2010, Gorenje UK took part in the in-house trade show of the Euronics-CIH Association in Birmingham.

Business partners, members of the Euronics Association, were presented for the first time the Gorenje for iPod refrigerator and the new collection of Gorenje Retro refrigerators. Visitors' attention was also grabbed by the new washing machines. Next year, Gorenje UK will launch the new 8-kilogram washing machine and the Eco line of fridge freezers in the market of the United Kingdom.

Mr. Bill Miller, head of sales at Gorenje UK: "Business in the British market is still slow and hard this year as the crisis is still felt. Last year, our sales amounted to EUR 13.1 million; this year, we are planning roughly the same figure. Despite harsh conditions, we expect our sales to grow next year." Gorenje has been present in the British market since 1976. For a number of years, its products were marketed through industrial partners and private labels; Gorenje's own brand was only introduced eight years ago.

The CIH Trane Show is organized by Euronics, an international organization of independent electrical retailers. This year's fair held in Birmingham hosted 53 exhibitors and welcomed over 2,300 business visitors. Since the fair is only intended for the Euronics members, it is a good opportunity to consolidate the business ties, to meet new buyers, and to get an insight into the offer of competition.
