Gorenje wins the "Month of Trade" silver prize in Macedonia
On December 26th 2008, Gorenje won the silver prize Month of Trade for the excellence of service, and neatness of retail offer. The prize, awarded by the City of Skopje, was presented by Mr. Trifun Kostovski, the Mayor of the Macedonian capital, to Mr. Nenad Jokanović, head of Gorenje's Macedonian subsidiary.
The key objective of the 'Month of Trade' event is to improve the level of local trade services; this was its second consecutive year. Organizing the event is the Department of Local Economic Development of the City of Skopje which is seeking to stimulate the retailers to provide even better services, neat and tidy retail outlets, and attractive retail offer. They particularly wish to motivate by presenting awards to the best retailers who were evaluated in 23 categories this year. The category of white goods showrooms included 69 entries. Gorenje ranked second and received the silver prize.
Mr. Nenad Jovanović, head of Gorenje Macedonia, commented: "I am proud to see our business unit receive this award. The entire team here undoubtedly deserves it as they invest a lot of effort into design and layout of the showroom, as well as into education about product novelties and work with the clients."
