Gorenje at the IFA 2008 fair
Leading household manufacturers have jointly decided to participate at the new international HOME APPLIANCES @ IFA 2008 fair taking place from August 29th to September 3rd this year in Berlin. Among them, Gorenje is presenting its numerous novelties and innovations that exceed the core requirement of convenience, topping it with innovative design and many original technical features that open up the space for new functionality. Thus, Gorenje remains faithfully dedicated to its vision of a design-minded household appliance manufacturer whose innovative and technologically advanced solutions dictate new trends.
Far most besieged Gorenje product at the IFA 2008 fair is an innovatively designed fridge-freezer Gorenje for iPod that enables the connection of the world's most popular music playback device, featuring a docking station that enables charging the iPod and playing back music and video through built-in speakers.
Also presented at the fair is a conceptual project of freestanding appliances Qube, which can be optionally placed anywhere in residential space, especially mansards of old bourgeoisie mansions, lofts, and originally redecorated apartments in former industrial facilities where the ambiance is not defined by rooms restricted by walls; they are recognised for a perfect ergonomy and “all-around” design. For the first time presented to the public is also the new generation of cooking appliances available in two designer lines – in clear lines Pure and in daring lines Allure. Also new is a trendy collection Gorenje Ora-Ïto White Collection, which is a variety of a world known black collection and series of household appliances in black colour, named Black up Excellency.
At the special location in the front of the entry to the fair is exhibited famous futuristic kitchen with built-in Gorenje Ora-Ïto appliances, which has in its 14.000 km long travel across the European capitals arrived to Berlin. Among other products Gorenje also exhibits prestigious SmarTable, fridge-freezer Gorenje Starry Night with 26.000 crystals Swarovski and collection Gorenje Pininfarina Black.
IFA Fair
IFA is one of the largest consumer electronics fairs in the world. It combines the innovation and technologies of the future with business, sales, and entertainment. According to the published statistics, over 1,200 companies from 32 countries exhibited at IFA 2007, covering a net space of more than 103,000 square meters. Over 6,600 press representatives attended the IFA 2007, including 1,371 international reporters from 62 countries. Sales at the 2007 show totalled at EUR 2.75 billion. The number of trade visitors attending the show in 2007 jumped by 7.5 percent to 101,358. Overall number of attendees jumped by 5 percent to a total of 223,000.
IFA is organized by Messe Berlin and owned by Gesellschaft fur Unterhaltungs- und Kommunikatlonselekronik (GFU). As of this year, the IFA fair also includes the HOME APPLIANCES @ IFA exhibition which will host all major large and small household appliance manufacturers on a total area of 25,000 square metres. www.ifa-berlin.com
