Gorenje takes part at the first Slovenian Fashion Week

The three-day event thus featured an exhibition that attracted considerable attention and proved the possibility of perfectly harmonious coexistence of fashion and cuisine. At the exhibition, Gorenje and Oktober studio presented the products prepared through their cooperation that has lasted since 2006. The symbiosis between the two companies was born based on the mutual mission and the idea to use select materials in order to create design-inspired, excellently crafted products. Together they created fashion accessories and clothing that has seen success not only in Slovenia, but worldwide. The first product of cuisine fashion developed as a part of this joint project was the apron for the Gorenje Pininfarina line. It is based on plisse which would remain the starting point of the fashion-cuisine cooperation that followed. Just like the Gorenje appliances feature surprising combinations of materials and excellent technology, Oktober, too, uses seemingly irreconcilable opposites of materials-lines-models as starting points for their products.

The result of these opposites was also mirrored in the products displayed: the apron that can also be used as an evening dress, a handbag with a flashlight, a shirt that reveals its pattern only when exposed to body temperature, created for the inauguration of the Gorenje Ora-Ïto line, plisse shopping bag, and plisse cookbook. All products were made in small, exclusive series. Particular attention was paid to packaging which was designed by Mr. Jan Jagodič of the Kabinet01 design studio.
