Franc Košec - born in 1952 in Polzela. He is an electro technician. He started to work in Gorenje in 1971 and he has constantly been engaged in the programmes of Gospodinjski aparati, which is Gorenje principal activity. His more than 30 years of work in Gorenje is connected with the production and technical field. His first job was a clerk for technical changes, then he was promoted to the head of the department for technical changes, head of the department for acquiring products, technical head of the programme of washing machines and dishwashers, and to the director of that programme. Since 1997 he has been the Executive Director of the Board for production - technical field. His career is closely related to Gorenje, where he has been developing professionally as well as personally.
He has been the head and engine of several projects in Gorenje. In this role he contributed a great deal to the development of new generations of household appliances, the introduction of electronics into Gorenje products and to bringing their functions closer to the customers' expectations. He has also had a very important role in developing the design of household appliances, due to which Gorenje is among the best in comparison with the competition. A particularly demanding role was the management of the biggest Gorenje investments, such as the new factory of refrigerators and freezers, galvanisation plant, plant for plastics, polystyrene factory and the new high - shelf warehouse.
He is a member of the Management Committee of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Association at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.
