Gorenje's black fridge-freezer with 3,500 CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski crystals received the Plus x Award™ 2007 in the category Ease of use. This is a third Plus x Award™ in category Ease of use for Gorenje.
Following the footsteps of the winners of the Plus x Award™ in the category Ease of use in 2004 and 2005 respectively, the Premium Touch washing machine and Premium Touch fridge-freezer, another appliance from Gorenje won the said prize in the same category, making it number three in a row in this category; this time, it was the black Gorenje fridge-freezer with 3,500 CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski crystals. Last year, in the category of Design, the award was won by the Gorenje Pininfarina fridge-freezer.
The jury explained the choice of the black Gorenje fridge-freezer with 3,500 CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski crystals with the following statement: "It should not come as a surprise, that the appliance amazes at first sight. Apart from the truly remarkable design, this combined appliance offers much more; thus, it met the stringent criteria with regard to user friendliness. A simple touch on the LCD screen is all it takes to access numerous functions offered by the appliance, such as the integrated radio tuner with high-quality stereo sound, a list of recipes with information on the caloric content of the ingredients, or advice on storing particular types of food. The appliance can also be employed as a communication center for the entire family, as it enables storing up to six 40-second voice messages. Another possibility is displaying electronic operating. The touch screen also enables setting the temperature for the refrigerator and the freezer compartments; operating the touch screen is intuitive and easy to learn." Apart from the interactive touch screen, the jury was impressed by the handle, covered entirely with 3,500 CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski crystals.
For the Plus x Award™ compete six different product groups from the world of the car entertainment, consumer electronics, telecommunication, IT, photo technology, and domestic appliances. Products competing for the Plus x Award™ must be assessed as the best in their product group on European market at least in one out of four assessed categories: ease of use, design, innovations and ecology. The sign of the Plus x Award™ is a recognized symbol +x, and it communicates high quality of the brand.
