Awarded Corporate Identity Solutions

The anonymous open public competition for designing the comprehensive graphical image of the Gorenje Group, that lasted from February the 15th until April the 15th, 2005, has been recently closed. Gorenje received 136 solutions from many european countrys, of which 108 suited to the invitation of the open public competition.

Factors influencing the decision to renew the comprehensive graphical image of Gorenje were both external and internal. The purpose of the competition was to obtain a design solution for a contemporary, state of the art, distinctive comprehensive image of a modern, dynamic and globally oriented company with ambitious aims that Gorenje is.

The expertise of the selection was guaranteed by the internationally recognized names of the jury: Paula Scher (Pentagram, NY, USA), Peter Zec (Design Centrum Nordrhein Westfalen, Essen, D), Gert Dumbar (Studio Dumbar, NL), Stane Bernik (Academy of Art and Design, LJ, SLO), Janez Smerdelj (Academy of Art and Design, LJ, SLO and Design Center Gorenje, SLO) and Franjo Bobinac (President of the Gorenje, d.d., Management Board, SLO) that assessed a long row of creative ideas and solutions and judged that not a single solution satisfyed the invitation demands and decided not to award the 1st prize. The jury decided to distribute a prize found among participatiors under their own judgement.
